I am happy to report this is the beginning of my 6th week as superintendent and I am still smiling, meeting staff and community members. The Board of Trustees and I have visited 16 school sites as part of our “50 First Dates.” For the benefit of the community, the Board Members and I will visit all school sites and district departments to meet and have a conversation with the principals and directors. The purpose of the “50 First Dates” is to hear the responses to the following questions:

• What accomplishment are you most proud of from 2014-15?
• What are your priorities for teaching and learning?
• What are your priorities for student equity?
• What are your priorities for school culture?
• What are the barriers that prevent you from accomplishing your goals?
• What services and support can the district provide to help you accomplish your goals?
